Design ideas: large kitchen with soaring balloons

In the release of the program “Made with Taste”, hosted by Lena UsanovaThe kitchen has been refurbished once again. Dshow designer Anton Pecheny spoke about the new characters and their kitchen, which needs renovation:

“Immediately after meeting the heroes of the program, Olesya and Kostya, I was surprised by their story about the kitchen. First of all, they complained that it was crowded there. But the area of ​​u200bu200bthe kitchen is as much as 17 square meters! But, having studied the kitchen set in more detail, I realized what was the matter. Basically, cooking takes place between the stove and the sink. And for the heroes, this area was only 60 cm. Because of this, there was a feeling of tightness. Kitchen appliances were placed spontaneously, without observing the sequence of cooking. That is, first you had to go to the refrigerator at one end of the kitchen, get food out of it and carry it to the sink, which was located at the other end. In a small area – It’s not a problem. But a 17-meter kitchen will require the stamina of a marathon runner even to prepare a simple meal.”

Problem:

1. Irrational use of a large kitchen area;

2. Spontaneous arrangement of equipment;

3. Old kitchen furniture in dull brown with pale green wallpaper.

Solution:

1. In the center of the kitchen set, we placed a refrigerator – as a place to start cooking. And further from it there are 2 directions: to the hob and to the oven. Main functional idea – everything should be at hand. Therefore, plates, cups and kitchen utensils are located in direct access for the hostess, so that it is convenient for her to cook.

2. The second idea in the interior of the kitchen was a non-standard color scheme. We used a combination that is quite rare, – blue background with bright red accents. Contrasting space will emphasize the energy and cheerfulness of a young couple.

3. The main elements of the interior of the kitchen are handmade soaring balloons (balloons) – a symbol of youth and inner freedom of a person. In addition to decor, balloons performed an important function as lamps. With their subdued light, you can create a romantic and cozy atmosphere for dinner. Great idea for lovers!

Designer Tips:

• Make the section of the working area between the sink and the stove at least 900 mm. This will ensure the convenience of cooking even in a small kitchen.
• In the kitchen, use several lighting modes. For receiving guests – general bright light; For cooking – bright light in the kitchen area; For cozy gatherings – a sconce in the dining table area.
• Choose the size of the dining table at the rate of 60-70 cm for 1 person. The ideal table for 4 people is 120-140 cm long.
• Cold tones, such as blue, visually expand the space.
