Dutch lingerie brand Hunkemoller announces final collaboration with top model Doutzen Kroes and for the first time presents the Doutzen Swim eco-collection of recycled plastic swimwear in support of the oceans.
“I have always been passionate about environmental issues. Last year, the brand and I supported the Knot my Planet Foundation, and this year we decided to pay attention to the problem of pollution of the World Ocean, so the REPREVE technological fiber, made from recycled plastic bottles collected from the coastline, was used to create the swimwear models of the Doutzen Swim capsule. , says Doutzen. “At the same time, Doutzen Swim is an incredibly feminine and sexy collection, these are spectacular models in which you can sunbathe by the pool or go to a cocktail bar with friends. We want to show that recycled items can be fashionable and fashion can be environmentally friendly.”
Traditionally, the top model presents her own capsule in a new lookbook, this time filmed in the space of a luxury villa in Mexico. The sun, the pool, the palm trees create the perfect backdrop for the new collection: plunging plunge swimsuits, bandeau tops, bikinis embellished with golden chains, high-cut briefs and a real hit of the season, the crocheted tankini.
To complement the beach look, Doutzen offers a white caftan in an oriental style, a maxi dress or a flying tunic. In addition, the collection includes a series of accessories and beach shoes: elegant slates, woven raffia bags, pareos with tribal prints, jewelry with cowrie shells and wide-brimmed hats.
The star relies on a natural color palette: emerald green, garnet, warm dark caramel and animal print “zebra” in the new black and red version will favorably emphasize any skin tone. The Doutzen Swim capsule will be presented in all eight Russian stores of the brand in June.
